Padraig

Padraig, the witch-boy

The witch-boy. Said where he can hear it, which tells you how much protection the saying costs.

Young under the beard, freckled, in a knitted cap the green of wet moss and a jumper carded in red and yellow — homespun, a working man’s clothes, a leather apron strap over the shoulder. One eye is grey-blue and the other gold. In a kingdom whose Questioners are trained to look for exactly that sort of thing, he has not troubled to hide it.

Four Pillars

Three Logos — the parts of his life that define him — and one Mythos, the part filled by the Mystery.

Little Things

Traits, gear and habits that hang off each of the Pillars.

Whose Interest?

Which house put a boy called witch into a company riding to a holy river? Who named him that first, and what did it cost his people?

Of the company of An Eastern King.
